The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

WATER PUMP BUILDING

INSIDE THE WATER PUMP STATION ARE 4 PUMPS. 2 OF THESE PUMPS ALTERNATE BACK AND FORTH TO MAINTAIN THE PRESSURE AT NORMAL FLOW. IF THE FLOW INCREASES THE BACK-UP PUMP TURNS ON TO MAINTAIN THE PRESSURE. IF THE BACK-UP PUMP CAN NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH FLOW , THE FIRE PUMP TURNS ON. THERE ARE 2 PARALLEL PIPES FEEDING THE ENTIRE ISLAND. 1-6" PIPE AND 1-8" PIPE. THEY ARE CONNECTED TOGETHER AT THE END OF EACH RUN TO CREATE A LOOP AND  HELP MAINTAIN THE EXISTING PRESSURE. THE NEW LINE IS 1-12" PIPE.
