ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

MAIN WATER PIPE - CRISTABOL ST. - BYPASS

THE DIGGING CREW IS CROSSING THE PARKING LOT AT THE FIRE HOUSE.

THE LAST SECTIONS OF WATER PIPE ARE BEING LAID AS THEY NEAR THE BRIDGE..

EACH SECTION HAS A METAL BRACE TO INSURE THAT ANY MOVEMENT WILL NOT ALLOW THE NEW WATER PIPES TO SEPARATE..

THE DIGGING CREW DIGS, COVERS, FILLS, COMPACTS AND CLEANS THE SURFACE AS THEY GO..

THEY ARRIVE AT THE BRIDGE AND STOP TO GO BACK AND DO THE SUB-MAINS ON CRISTOBAL ST. AND ACROSS THE ROAD AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER,,

AS THE DIGGING CREW STARTS ON CRISTOBAL ST. THEY CROSS SEVERAL EXISTING PIPES.

THE EXISTING 8" WATER PIPE, THE EXISTING 6" WATER PIPE AND 3 CONDUITS WITH OLD TELEPHONE  AND TV CABLES. THE 3 CABLE PIPES ARE CUT OUT OF THE WAY AND THEY WORK AROUND THE TWO EXISTING WATER PIPES..

THEY CONTINUE THE TRENCH DOWN THE ROAD AND INSTALL A 45* TURN TO MOVE THE NEW WATER PIPE TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE STREET..

AS THE DIGGING CREW WORKS ON CRISTOBAL ST. THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE CREW INSTALLS A BYPASS LANE ACROSS FROM THE COMMUNITY CENTER TO DIVERT TRAFFIC FLOW TOMORROW SO THE DIGGING CREW CAN INSTALL ACROSS THE ROAD,THE 6" SUB-MAIN TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER, TARPON VILLAGE, THE FISH HOUSE AND THE ISLAND MARKET.

I love the new look of the webpage, with the water! At least I think its new (I usually read everything on my reader which doesn't show me the page itself).
