ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

MAIN WATER LINE - TELEPHONE LINES

THE TRAFFIC IS FLOWING IN A SAFE MANNER AS THE DIGGING CREW IS WORKING ACROSS FROM THE COMMUNITY CENTER..

AS THE DIGGING CREW IS APPROACHING THE CURVE AT ISLAND MARKET, A 6" SUB-MAIN TAP IS INSTALLED TO FEED TARPON VILLAGE AND THE FISH HOUSE..
THE NEXT TURN IS A 45* ANGLE AND HAS TO CROSS BOTH EXISTING WATER PIPES AND THE FIBER OPTIC LINE..
THE 8" EXISTING WATER LINE IS EXPOSED AT A PLACE WHERE IT IS COUPLED, A METAL BRACE IS ADDED TO KEEP IT FROM BEING DAMAGED..
NEXT, THE 6" EXISTING WATER LINE IS UNCOVERED AND AN UNMARKED WATER TAP THAT HAS ROTTED FALLS OFF CAUSING A WATER LEAK. THE WATER PRESSURE IS LOWERED ON THE ISLAND AND A METAL SLEEVE IS INSTALLED OVER THE TAP TO ISOLATE THE LEAK..
THE CREW CONTINUED TO DIG AND UNCOVER THE FIBER OPTICS AND TELEPHONE LINES..
THEY GET TO THE OTHER 45* TURN AND WILL DIG TOWARD THE GENERAL STORE..

THE TELEPHONE DIGGING CREW IS FINISHED FOR NOW..
AND CENTURY LINK IS CONTINUING TO CONNECT THE BUSINESSES TO THE NEW LINE IN ORDER TO ABANDON THE OLD LINES.
