ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS MEETING #19

THE WEEKLY CONSTRUCTION MEETING WAS HELD TODAY AT 10:00AM AT THE FIRE HOUSE.
DISCUSSED WAS MORE ABOUT THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF THE AC WATER PIPE. THIS IS THE OLD 6" WATER PIPE THAT WAS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED IN THE LATE 1950'S.  THIS REMOVAL WILL BE COMPLETED AFTER ALL OF THE WATER METERS ARE CONNECTED TO THE NEW WATER SYSTEM.
THE NEW WATER PIPE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING LAB TESTED. WHEN THIS IS COMPLETE, THE RESULTS WILL BE SENT TO THE STATE TO BE SIGNED OFF. THEN THE NEW METER CONNECTIONS WILL BEGIN.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN DISTURBED BY CONSTRUCTION NOISE AT NIGHT THIS WEEK, IT WAS TO GET EQUIPTMENT AND MATERIAL OUT OF THE YARD TO WORK ON TWO EMERGENCIES, THAT HAPPENED OFF OF THE ISLAND AT NIGHT. THIS IS REGRETTABLE, BUT VERY UNPREDICTABLE.
