ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

CULVERT INSTALLATION

THE DIGGING CREW IS INSTALLING A NEW CULVERT UNDER SAN JUAN AVE TO HELP THE PERCOLATING OF THE RAIN WATER. ONE LANE WAS ESTABLISHED TO ALLOW FOR THE OPENING OF THE ROAD..

A 3 FOOT BY 4 FOOT COLUMN WAS INSTALLED ON EACH SIDE OF THE ROAD..

THE DIGGING WAS STARTED ACROSS THE ROAD AND THE DIRT WAS CARRIED OFF TO BE REPLACED WITH CLEAN FILL..

AN 18" CULVERT WAS CONNECTED TO THE SIDE OF THE COLUMN TO CONNECT THE TWO COLUMNS TOGETHER..

THE CULVERTS WERE KEPT LEVEL TO ALLOW AS MUCH WATER AS POSSIBLE TO FLOW BETWEEN THE COLUMNS..

LOTS OF OLD MANGROVE TREES WERE DUG OUT OF THE GROUND..

THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS A GRILLE ON EACH SIDE OF THE ROAD TO ALLOW WATER TO FLOW INTO THE COLUMNS AND PERCOLATE INTO THE GROUND.
