This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. NEW WATER METER CONNECTIONS

 STARTING AT THE FIRE HOUSE AND THE CAPRI FISH HOUSE,  THE CREW IS CONNECTING THE WATER METERS TO THE NEW 12" WATER PIPE..



THE LOCATING COMPANY IS MARKING THE OTHER UTILITIES FOR SAFE DIGGING..

BEFORE THE NEW WATER PIPE IS CONNECTED THE WATER PIPE IS FLUSHED..

NEXT IS THE PELICAN BEND RESTAURANT..

ALL OF THE NEW WATER METERS ARE RELOCATED INTO THE SET BACK AREA. THE OLD WATER METERS WERE NOT CONSISTENT WHEN THEY WERE LOCATED..

WITH THE REMOTELY READ WATER METER IS A BACK FLOW PREVENTER.  THIS IS NOW REQUIRED ON ALL WATER SERVICES..

THE WEEKLY PROGRESS MEETING WAS HELD AT THE FIRE HOUSE. DISCUSSED WAS THE REMOVAL OF THE 8" PVC OLD WATER PIPE, HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS OF THE NEW FIRE HYDRANTS AND ANY CUSTOMER CONCERNS.   THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE NOVEMBER 4TH.
