ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

ANTIGUA ST. SUB MAIN 6" PIPE

THE DIGGING CREW STARTED AT THE FIRST CURVE TO RUN THE 6" NEW WATER LINE TO ANTIGUA ST. THEY WERE WORKING NEXT TO THE ROAD WITH CONCRETE BARRIERS AND A FLAGMAN TO PROTECT THEM. "JIM NELSON", THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE CREW, ASKED ME TO NOTE ON THIS BLOG THAT CARS WERE SPEEDING AND COMING CLOSE TO THE CREW. HE HAS ASKED ALL OF US TO PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND WATCH THE FLAGMEN  WHEN DRIVING THROUGH THESE CONSTRUCTION AREAS.

(the car in this picture was not an offender, it was just used for the photograph)

THE CREW HAS MADE IT AROUND THE CORNER AND ONTO ANTIGUA ST.
THEY ARE SCRAPING THE GRASS  AND CLEANING UP BEHIND THEM AS THEY GO..

THE CONCRETE CREW HAS FORMED AROUND THE FIRE HYDRANTS AND IN GROUND WATER VALVES. IT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A  24"SQUARE  AND  6"DEEP  SLAB WITH REBAR.
THE DRIVE WAYS ARE BEING FORMED TO 6" DEEP WITH EXPANSION JOINTS.
