ISLES of CAPRI WATER SYSTEM

This blog will follow daily the progress of the installation of our new water pipes. The company will be working 4-10 hour days with friday open for surveying and cleaning up on the previous weeks work. The company and the county request that all people that are watching the progress to maintain a safe distance from working personal and equiptment. This blog hopefully will show you the progress daily in order to keep you as informed as possible.

NEW GRASS - MARKERS - ASPHALT

THE CREW OF DN HIGGINS WATERS THE NEW GRASS. THEY WILL OVERSEE THE ASPHALT INSTALLATION UNTIL COMPLETION..

MEDALLIONS HAVE BEEN SET IN PLACE ON ALL OF THE VALVES. THESE TELL THE INSTALLATION DATE, THE SIZE AND HOW MANY TURNS TO CLOSE OR OPEN THE VALVE AND WHICH DIRECTION TO TURN THE VALVE..

THE ASPHALT CREW WORKS ON GRENADA AFTER THE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOVE THE MINIMUM OF 45* TO LAY ASPHALT..

AFTER LAYING THE ROLLER CAME..

THEN THE PNEUMATIC ROLLER. THIS ROLLER HAS RUBBER TIRES AND WILL COMPACT AND SMOOTH THE VALLEYS AND DIPS, WHERE THE STEEL ROLLER WILL GO OVER THEM..

THE CREW MOVES TO ANTIGUA ST. THE DRIVEWAYS ARE CUT DOWN TO BE LEVEL WITH THE NEW ASPHALT

THE PRIMER IS SPRAYED ON THE ROAD. THIS ALLOWS THE NEW ASPHALT TO BOND WITH THE OLD ASPHALT..

THE OIL IS ABOUT 150*..

THE PAVING MACHINE MAKES A RUN..

THEN THE ROLLER COMES IN WITH WATER ON THE STEEL WHEELS AND COMPRESSES THE ASPHALT.
